On April 16, the students of the College of Marine Science and Engineering went to Qishan Book Company to participate in the reading sharing meeting of Shanghai's New Discoveries - Cultural treasures belonging to the city of the Pudong New Area Reading Promotion Activity. The sharing meeting invited Mr. Zhu Yining, founder and CEO of Xincheng City, and Mr. Ding Guangji, chief content expert of Xincheng City, to share guests.
Mr. Zhu Yining introduced to the students the story behind the creation of his new book Shanghai New Discovery: Shanghai Archeology, including the complete mental journey from conception to formation. In the process of sharing, Mr. Zhu Yining led the students to explore the past and present with several exclusive photos, punch card maps and historical maps, and found a different Shanghai. Mr. Ding Guangji from the ancient gang body to the ancient culture belt and then to the Guhan Sea Pond to tell the students why Shanghai six thousand years the vicissitudes of change. From the narration of Mr. Ding Guangji, the students felt as if they were in front of the city walls and felt the profound historical accumulation of Shanghai.
With the sharing of the two guests, the students had a deeper understanding of the development of Shanghai's 6,000 years of history, more truly felt the unique cultural charm of Shanghai, and also provided a guide for everyone to discover and fall in love with Shanghai.
