From August 21 to September 2, the third Shanghai Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering Graduate Summer School was held online. More than 150 master/doctoral students, senior undergraduates and enterprise engineers from more than 20 universities and enterprises such as Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Maritime University, Zhejiang Ocean University, Guangdong Ocean University, Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. actively participated in the learning event.
The Summer School invited 15 well-known experts from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhejiang University, Harbin Engineering University, China Ship Research and Design Center, China Ship Science Research Center, China Classification Society Shanghai Standard Research Institute, Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute, Jiangnan Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and other universities, research institutes and shipyards to teach teachers. The course covers cutting-edge technologies such as intelligent ships, offshore unmanned equipment, polar ships, offshore wind power, and tidal power utilization.
During the 14-day summer school, the students performed well, thought positively and spoke enthusiastically. There is frequent interaction between the teaching experts and students, and timely answers to the relevant questions of students. The participants also took the opportunity to share their learning experiences in light of their own research background. The students have said that the summer school has gained a lot, not only to understand the latest research trends and cutting-edge science and technology, expand the academic horizon, but also by the experts rigorous research, truth and pragmatic attitude deeply infected.
